Enhanced Version of Central Credit Real Time Improves Credit Decision Process for Casinos; Global Cash Access Product Provides Immediate Link to Central Credit, Decreased Wait Time for Approvals
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 2006--Gaming establishments can improve their credit decision process thanks to the Central Credit Real Time interface, offered by Global Cash Access (GCA) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Central Credit. Central Credit Real Time is an interface that bridges a casino's in-house casino management software (CMS) with the Central Credit gaming patron credit bureau, which provides access to gaming patron credit history and transaction data on millions of gaming patrons worldwide. With Central Credit Real Time, a secure, high-speed interface allows for "real-time" patron updates as they occur, making the credit-granting decision process more accurate and immediate. As a result of a significant investment in technological improvements, Central Credit has introduced Central Credit Real Time version 4 to simplify the interface. "Our previous versions of Central Credit Real Time required casinos to program their in-house software to match our interface requirements," said Kurt Sullivan, executive vice president of product development for Global Cash Access and its subsidiaries. "Version 4 was created to more readily adapt to casinos' in-house software systems. Instead of the casino having to make programming changes to meet our requirements, it is now much easier for the two systems to co-exist. With these improvements, we believe we've significantly cut down on front-end programming." When a gaming patron makes a credit request, the casino will consult as many sources as possible, including the Central Credit database, to help make its decision to grant credit. The credit check can take a couple minutes to several hours, depending on the patron's record, and casino personnel typically must place a call to Central Credit to confirm information. GCA believes that Central Credit Real Time will substantially reduce the amount of time required for credit confirmation, as casino personnel will no longer have to update data in their property's in-house CMS and then inform Central Credit of changes. At the click of a button, the system updates automatically, to the minute, eliminating phone calls. As patron information is added or updated in a property's in-house CMS, the information is securely delivered to Central Credit, where it is immediately available. Properties can send selected transaction types through a message engine to Central Credit as they occur. Central Credit validates the transmission, acknowledges receipt and stores the data for future inquiries. Some examples of transactions that are immediately updated include: establishing new patrons; updating patron names, account numbers or preferred status; issuing/paying markers; posting/paying returns; and personal checks against a credit line. Cage and credit personnel productivity is increased by the reduction of manual requests and calls to and from Central Credit. In addition, Central Credit Real Time also provides faster response times. Patrons benefit as their wait time is reduced to only a few minutes, improving customer service. "Our goal is to immediately provide the most accurate data available from our proprietary casino credit database, reducing a casino's risk while providing quick and efficient service for their patrons," said Sullivan. Central Credit, which is celebrating 50 years in business, is the leading source for gaming credit information with a proprietary database of gaming patron credit history and transaction data on millions of gaming patrons worldwide.
